Call for Volunteers to the Board of Directors – 28 November, 2017 Feed My Lambs Street Mission Inc. has openings on its Board of Directors. Four Director positions are available for any Manitoba resident, interested in supporting the work of the Mission, on a volunteer basis. Board members are asked to attend a short monthly meeting, held in Winnipeg, to approve the previous month’s activities of the Manager and volunteers; authorize payment of expenses, salaries, and payables; and, discuss any new activities proposed by the Manager and volunteers. Rob Lever – Passing of a Friend

Robert Edward Lever, age 63, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at Selkirk Regional Health Centre. Local candidate visits FML’s food bank

Feed My Lambs’ Friday food bank at Barber House. As we were unloading, a local candidate and his crew were walking in the area collecting signatures so he could run in the election. We chatted with them, and they came into Barber House to check out our food bank. They were very impressed with the quality of our food bank and praised Harvest for their work in the community as well as Feed My Lambs and the Seniors Meal program.

EVA MARY BOBROVICH (nee SCHNERCH) Peacefully, on January 16, 2017 at Gimli Community Health Centre, our beloved Eva went to be with her Lord. She was surrounded by love, prayers, and family. A celebration of life will be held at St. Michael’s Church, Gimli, MB on Saturday, January 21, 2017. ICCCS Backpack Donations to Winnipeg’s Homeless

On Tuesday, December 13th, Feed My Lambs’ Founder Hilde Purdy introduced Linda and Aretha from the Inkster Community Child Care to some of Winnipeg’s homeless folks doing what Hilde refers to as “The Main Street Shuffle” – moving from one location to the next, in an effort to stay warm and safe in yet another -30C night on the street. Maya’s Day – Saturday, December 17th

In honour of Maya Karin Person whose wish was to serve the less fortunate, Feed My Lambs Street Mission will serve a meal of Chili, sandwiches, goodies, coffee and hot chocolate, in the parking lot at the corner of Princess and Logan. Everyone is welcome to join us for food and friendship at 3:00pm on Saturday, December 17th.
